I am an internationally recognized cello teacher and sanctioned teacher trainer for the Suzuki Association of the Americas with 36 years of experience. Having just moved to Longueuil QC, I am delighted to offer teacher training courses in the Montreal area starting in 2020.

Drawing upon decades of experience as a performer, teacher, and teacher trainer, my passion is to guide new teachers and their students along their paths towards sequential, technical, and musical understanding as they become accomplished musicians. I believe deeply in the commitment of all musicians to promote music making, a universal human experience, as a legacy to our shared cultural future.

Teacher Development is a fundamentally deep process. At the beginning, participants share and strengthen their philosophy of teaching and develop teaching strategies, targeting the ever-expanding minds of young people. With each subsequent course, participants come to understand and utilize the unifying ideas that connect the first year

With each subsequent course, participants come to understand and utilize the unifying ideas that connect the first years with the concerti of the advanced literature.
Typically, classes consist of 4-15 participants who have successfully auditioned for the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA). After each completed unit (there are 10) participants can register their courses and be included in the SAA Teacher Directory.
